Hello there.
I’m Andrea Ledwell. A designer, writer and artist. I live in Toronto but am originally from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. And though a resident of Ontario for almost 20 years, PEI will always be home. That is just the way it is. I also left a piece of my heart in Iqaluit, Nunavut after spending a couple of years living there.
I am experienced:
With over two decades experience in the communications industry, I have worked in both public and private sectors, with artists, politicians, government ministries and agencies, banks, educators and entrepreneurs.
I think strategically and deploy tactically.
A creative and strategic thinker, and a problem-solver, I like to find the perfect combination of words and images to best communicate a message. Sometimes it needs a book, sometimes a page. Perhaps the copy needs to be punchy, while sometimes an illustration works best to amplify a message.
I’m eclectic.
My background and training is an interdisciplinary one; I have a degree in music and political studies, graduate work in cultural studies and philosophy, and received a diploma in visual communications. I have worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for a large manufacturing project, spent a bit of time in the financial industry, and am currently working on a diploma in garden design. I love research and my curiosity is insatiable. With this eclectic background, I draw on a life of rich experiences to bring a fresh perspective to organizations.
