From 2013 until 2018, I held the position of Creative Director for the Ontario Liberal Caucus at Queen’s Park. Leading the creative team and overseeing a printshop, we supported MPPs and the Premier’s office, in creating print and digital products.
As creative director, I oversaw the development of clean and consistent materials that echoed the party rebrand of 2013. As a team, we worked to ensure materials produced for caucus met a high standard, while meeting the unique needs of individual MPPs.
In addition to products for the members, we often produced supporting materials for caucus as a whole, for instance, a series of issue cards to help communicate budget highlights or policy initiatives, or perhaps to celebrate a special holiday.
We also created print and digital materials to support events attended by the Premier and caucus members, like the International Plowing Festival, or regional tours, and cultural festivals.
From business cards to newsletters and brochures, slide decks, tour backdrops, and holiday cards, we produced thousands of pieces each year. It was a heavy workload, with always time-sensitives deadlines; I am extremely proud of work we did and the results achieved.
