I love any opportunity to collaborate with other artists, so was very happy when my friend, documentary photographer Ruth Skinner, asked me to work with her on an invitation and title artwork for her solo exhibition, Posthuma, a photographic study on the life and artwork of Lady Elizabeth Simcoe.
I created title artwork that harkens back to the period Ruth’s work examines, but is also evocative of the photographic technique used in the exhibition. The postcard invitation is intended to replicate the correspondence of days of yore.
